  • Château Picoron is an Australian owned sustainable Bordeaux vineyard, self-importing into Australia. We produce sustainably, organic and vegan, seeking the cleanest possible product. Our recipe is simple, freshly picked Merlot, yeast, minimal sulphur and that's it.

  • Our wines are not a blend of acres of vines, but a transparent and honest expression of a specific place: The famous St Emilion clay limestone ridge on which Château Picoron proudly sits.

  • We vinify our wines plot by plot, without blending, to produce only a few thousand cases each vintage. All grown, vinified, and bottled within our walls. The result is the true, hand made expression of our terroir.

 

We celebrate the past and future of Merlot, the grape variety at the centre of winemaking in Bordeaux. However, as climate changes the environment around us, we must adapt. We do not seek to control the earth, but instead we challenge traditional methods of vinification, and in doing so find creativity, freedom and self expression.

We believe nature to be our greatest collaborator. When it comes to producing our wine, less is more. Less additives, interventions, and attempts to change what is nature. Our wine is produced sustainably, without animal products, minimal interventions and using organic practices.

  • Château Picoron currently sell four wines in Australia, however we are soon to bring 5 more. We will be selling White Merlot, Provence Rose, Carbonic Red Merlot Cold, Fermented Red and few 'classic' Bordeaux Merlot.

Chateau Picoron wines are produced under the watchful eye of Stephane Derenoncourt, our incredible team, and our family.
